On Christmas Day, I like to dress up but still be comfortable. I spend Christmas Day at home so there’s no need to go full glam (I keep that for NYE). I usually wear tailored trousers/ leather trousers with a knit sweater/embellished top. This kind of look is also ideal for Christmas Eve plans, New Years Day lunches or house parties over the festive period. I got loads of Instagram messages about this gold top so I’ve hunted for similar styles for you because this is exact one is froma couple of years ago (solid H&M purchase!). I’ve added my favourite pieces for this kind of look below!

If you aren’t into embellishment (you must be mad…) it’s easy to dress up more casual outfits with statement jewellery like these earrings from Zara (here) which at first I thought were so extra but look so much better on! Zara have loads of oversized years which have completed so many of my simple looks this year.  Another way to look more festive is by doing shimmer eyeshadow/ statement lip (or both!) or big curls. I personally prefer one or the other when channeling understated glam – Messy ponytail with a red lip or big waves with matte eyeshadow and nude lips.
