After being in Orlando for 2 weeks, I was heading back to the airport for a week in Puerto Banus, Marbella with my besties. This was my first time in Marbella, and it definitely won’t be the last! We stayed in the H10 Andalucía Plaza, which was the perfect location. We were a five minute taxi ride from the port, bars, restaurants and clubs. I’m going to give you a run down of the best places to party, eat and drink as well as the most important factor – what to wear!
My absolute favourite restaurant was La Sala, which has such a fun atmosphere with live singers and DJs. We ended up stayed here until close because we were having a great time and the cocktails were flowing! We came back to La Sala for breakfast to sit on the outside terrace area, I ordered one of the most delicious breakfast smoothies. Definitely recommend stopping by here!
Another spot that I need to mention is Olivia’s La Cala, which some of you may have seen if you’ve caught any of Elliott Wright’s Playa in Marbella programme – don’t judge everyone has their guilty pleasures! Although this is half an hour from the main Marbella town it is definitely worth the journey as the white and gold interior, sea view and frozen strawberry daiquiris create ideal summer bliss!
After hitting the night scene hard for two consecutive nights… it took its toll (amateurs right?) so we headed to the Thai Gallery restaurant. I’m a huge fan of Thai food so I loved the meal. After dinner we went downstairs to a beautifully decorated garden bar UNI for strawberry sisha, rosé wine and a girly chat. One thing that we very rarely get to do in Scotland is sit outside at night and have drinks so this was something different and special.
P.S. The restaurants were constantly busy so I recommend to book in advance always.

As far as pool parties go Nikki Beach was my favourite day by far. There’s a reason why their Sundays are called ‘Amazing Sundays’! It’s a pretty chilled vibe up until 3pm, then the party starts with live musicians, djs and dancers! We also spent a day at Ocean Club which was another good day but if I had to choose between both I’d definitely go with Nikki Beach. At these clubs there’s definitely an element of dressing to impress. Daytime glam can be kinda tricky, if you’re not careful you can go too far. For the beach clubs in Marbs, I did my usual face of makeup – foundation, contour & highlight – with a natural nude eye and some mascara. As for my hair, I went for beachy waves.

A tip for pool parties to avoid any OTT moments would be to add jewellery to your swimwear looks as this adds a touch of understated glam. My absolute dream swimsuits are Zimmermann – I love the frills and prints (check them out here). It’s quite difficult to find striking swimsuits for a reasonable price but usually you can count on places like ASOS and Revolve Clothing. Simple cover-ups are the way forward. Keep it casual in crochet dresses, day dresses and oversized shirts – these work for casual day looks or add a wedge to up the ante!
Every night we went to different places to make the most of the week – we went to News Cafe, Pangea and Astral and after the pre drinks we headed to Cavailli Club, Aqua and Tibu. The later you go out the better as most of the clubs are busy by 2am and stay open until 6am so go hard or go home!
