For me, skiing in style was a fun challenge! Finding clothes that were practical but also super stylish proved sometimes to be difficult but the end result was so worth it. So for my trip to Val Thorens, I went for a gunmetal grey, fitted, Killy ski jacket purchased on Zalando which has great deals on all ski wear and Nevica skinny ski pants purchased on Field and Trek. Ski attire can often be baggy and unflattering so I prefer to go for slim fitting items. Some of you may recognise the fur on my hood from my look Monday Moves. I bought this fur hood trim on eBay, which I then added to my jacket to create the exact style I was looking for!
My favourite ski wear brands have to be Moncler and Bogner however these are a little pricey so if you are looking to stay stylish in a more affordable way I would definitely search online and head to the closest TK Maxx which is where I purchase many of my base layers!
As you can tell, these Ikkii snow boots were the only shoes I needed on my trip! Ikkii have a huge range of snow boots in different colours, lengths and styles. Personally, I love this short style (hint: short boots lengthen your legs) and the mix of fur & leather was ideal for the snowy conditions.
Ready for après ski on the first snowy day with Moschino keeping me warm. These have to be my favourite thermals I purchased for skiing. When I saw these on the runway for Moschino AW15/16 I had to have them! Check out my Pinterest board for more ski style inspiration!
I felt like a snow bunny in this furry Russian hat which I purchased years ago in a vintage store! Make sure you check out vintage stores for timeless pieces, some of my wardrobe staples are found by rummaging through small hidden treasure troves!
The perfect sunglasses for skiing? Affordable ones! These Forever 21 oversized aviators were only £6 and so stylish. I would never use my expensive sunglasses whilst skiing incase they get damaged so with this pair I knew I could easily replace them. I can’t wait to restyle them with my Spring/Summer wardrobe. Oversized aviators – trend alert!
Hot chocolate o’clock! There were plenty of hot chocolate pitt stops as you could tell from my Instagram and my white fur coat was the perfect attire. This trip was probably the last time I will wear my vintage fur coat before the summer months! I purchased this in Mr Ben’s vintage store in Glasgow which has a huge collection of furs, embellished dresses and jewellery. All to die for!
There are some essentials I will never hit the slopes without. Elizabeth Arden SPF lip balm, to keep my lips silky smooth. Sunglasses, to protect my eyes as the sun reflects off the snow and is so bright. Earphones, for skiing along to my favourite music. Tangle Teezer, to keep my locks tamed after serious helmet hair and finally my Bier Halle hat, to rep the family business on the slopes and to keep warm!
