If every tuesday started with a blogger breakfast, I’d be there! This morning, Monique (Fashionbymnp) & I headed to GAP Buchanan St store for the Denim Addict event ready to shop some denim for SS16.
We chose our favourite styles and headed to the changing rooms with carrot & ginger juices in hand. I choose a pale blue pair of girlfriend jeans which are one of my favourite styles of denims (GF style also seen at the Massimo Dutti Store Opening). The fit of these GAP girlfriend jeans are exactly what I’ve been looking for – unfitted but slightly more fitted than boyfriend jeans. This pale blue shade is also a new addition to my denim collection!
Imagine if you could customise jeans to create your dream denims? Well, now you can! I can’t believe I didn’t know GAP had this service before now. After selecting my jeans, I took them to the Denim Addict table where an expert used all sorts of tools to create a distressed look on the specific parts of the leg I wanted! Usually, I love huge rips and lots of fraying (barely any denim…) but for a change I decided to just go for a more subtle distressed look. Next time, I’ll be in for a destroyed pair of denim shorts!
I had a little browse around the store whilst I waited for my jeans to be perfectly destroyed and found some great basics for my summer wardrobe. I’m all about finding light weight layers for the warmer weather and I love the quality of GAP‘s shirts (Here) and basic T’s (Here).
After seeing the cutest Patchwork Girlfriend Jeans in store today (unfortunately, not in my size), I ordered them online with a gift voucher from the team at GAP. What do you think?
I can’t wait to style my new denims, watch out for them in my coming outfit posts. If anyone has any questions about the store or any products, don’t hesitate to ask! I love hearing what everyone thinks. Thanks to all the GAP Buchanan St staff for finding and creating the perfect denims, I’ll be back in soon!
